About The Position

The Auditor III plays a critical role within the Program Integrity and Accountability Division of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA). This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations while promoting the integrity and efficiency of Medicaid programs. The Auditor III will assist in developing audit objectives, methodologies, and procedures, managing audit activities to meet organizational deadlines, and providing detailed analyses and appraisals of evidentiary data. Through meticulous auditing, the incumbent ensures program effectiveness and accountability, contributing to OHCA's mission of providing better health and care for Oklahomans.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration AND 2 years of qualifying experience in professional auditing or accounting OR An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of paraprofessional auditing or accounting experience for each year of the required education.
  • The Auditor III position requires strong knowledge of agency policies, state and federal regulations, and auditing principles, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations.
  • Essential skills include effective communication, critical thinking, and organizational coordination across divisions.
  • Two relevant Korn Ferry competencies for this role are Manages Complexity, which reflects the need to navigate and resolve multifaceted audit issues, and Ensures Accountability, as the position demands upholding program integrity and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing audit objectives, methodology, and procedures.
  • Complete audit work for audits.
  • Manage audit activities for timely completion.
  • Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data for informed opinions.
  • Prepare notifications and audit reports.
  • Ensure thorough, objective, and well-documented audits.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring Program Integrity initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
