About The Position

The Audit position at Ally Financial is designed for individuals who are curious and eager to learn within the financial services industry. This role involves conducting audits, collaborating with management, and utilizing data analytics to enhance control practices. Requirements

  • Relevant 4-year degree or comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of work experience in audit or financial services.
  • Relevant certification (CIA, CPA, CISA, CAMS, CFE, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience using ACL and Teammate or other Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) is a plus.
  • Desire to creatively identify problems and provide solutions or recommendations.
  • Analytical attitude with a thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
  • Curiosity, passion, and skills for technology.
  • Openness to feedback and active listening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) such as ACL and Teammate.
  • Relevant certifications like CIA, CPA, CISA, CAMS, CFE.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Ally management and work cross-functionally while conducting individual audits.
  • Develop, complete, and document audit tests in accordance with Audit Services policies and procedures.
  • Provide consultation to management regarding emerging control practices using data literacy and analytics.
  • Proactively communicate with management and peers to mitigate customer service issues before they occur.
  • Demonstrate inquisitiveness by asking questions and challenging the status quo.
  • Perform ad hoc projects to assist with analyzing Ally's risk and control environment.
  • Participate in Audit Transformation initiatives to contribute to the enterprise's role within Ally business.
