Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Professional and polite phone communication skills
  • Excellent attendance record and reliable work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Verify customers' eligibility for short-term disability insurance by performing in-depth audits
  • Communicating with physicians
  • Collaborating with internal team members as needed
  • Setup and process short-term disability requests
  • Audit claims and payments
  • Review information to ensure all data is correct
  • Audit COBRA payments and communication letters, letting your lead know about any issues or discrepancies
  • Confirm return-to-work dates
  • Answer questions
  • Communicate with physicians about ongoing files
