Please let us know if you need a reasonable accommodation . WHAT YOU WILL DO : The Oregon Employment Department is hiring for multiple Auditor (Compliance Specialist 2) positions. The main purpose of this role is to help ensure that employers follow federal and state Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax laws and pay the correct amount. Auditors work independently in the field and interact directly with employers and their representatives. They review financial and payroll records and apply accounting principles, laws, rules, and agency guidance to understand each situation and make fair decisions. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR : Required Minimum Qualifications Four years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations. Two of the four years must be above the technical support level. (Note: some positions may require experience in a specific regulatory industry or program) Note: college-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years. Demonstrated experience using automated data collection and analysis tools to evaluate financial or payroll information. 2 years of experience must be withing the last 5 years.
