About The Position

The Auditor/Assessor position at SGS North America Inc. involves conducting audits of manufacturing and fabrication processes at various industrial sites. The role requires preparation of audit agendas, scheduling, and executing audits according to established checklists, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The Auditor will work on a contract basis, with assignments varying in duration and frequency, and will be compensated based on hours worked and expenses incurred.

Requirements

• Qualified and preferably certified for IRQA or similar competent authorities
• Familiar with industrial, commercial, and technical practices
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training is a plus
• Minimum of 3 years' experience auditing supplier/manufacturer facilities
• Additional certifications such as CWI or NDT are a plus
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions safely and accurately
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare Audit Agenda
• Discuss agenda with the audit site and schedule audit
• Email site contact for expectations and requirements
• Conduct audits per agreed checklist through facility tours, discussions, and reviews of processes
• Verify processes and procedures
• Provide photographic coverage if allowed by the site
• Issue reports of findings within specified time limits
