About The Position
Auditors conduct audits on accounts, records, activities, operations and/or internal controls of individuals, business organizations, State agencies or other government jurisdictions subject to State taxation or regulation to ensure compliance with State and federal rules and regulations and legal requirements and/or proper safeguarding of agency funds. The Department of Taxation's Excise and Local Government Services Division is recruiting to fill a vacant Auditor 2 position within the Special Tax Program's Audit team in Carson City. The incumbent will serve as a Net Proceeds of Minerals auditor. The incumbent will perform independent financial audits of taxpayer records to verify Net Proceeds of Minerals Tax was accurately reported and paid to the Department of Taxation.
