As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. The Audit Support Team Lead supports internal audits and FISMA compliance by managing responses to audit requests, coordinating data analysis and reporting, and ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity standards. This role also oversees account monitoring, supports cross-functional collaboration, and helps maintain audit readiness through documentation and process improvements. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Audit Support Team Lead: $120,000 to $125,000 Pay commensurate with experience.   • Lead quarterly and annual FISMA reporting efforts and respond to PBC requests with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and report on account approvals, discrepancies, and deletions through daily and weekly reviews.
  • Analyze reported FISMA data to assess completeness, accuracy, and alignment with federal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain audit response documentation, internal procedures, and SOPs.
  • Support audit demonstrations and provide strategic consultation to internal leadership on FISMA compliance.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication for audit activities, including outreach to NSF stakeholders and response to data calls.
  • Recommend corrective actions based on audit findings and account analysis.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in audit support, FISMA compliance, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of FISMA and NIST publications (e.g., 800-37, 800-53A, FIPS 199/200, 800-30).
  • Experience supporting audits in a federal contracting or public sector environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and consulting skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in managing audit workflows, procedural documentation, and compliance tracking systems.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
