At Lauterbach & Amen, we value our people and know that each employee is vital to our success. We are searching for a full-time Audit Report Writer to join our Audit department. This role will be based in Naperville. The anticipated, average salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000, with the final offer determined based on business-related factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, education, skill set, and professional certifications. As part of our compensation philosophy, offers are typically not made at the top of the range to allow room for future growth and salary progression over time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study
  • Interest in and experience working with technology across multiple platforms
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Deadline driven
  • Strong organizations skills and detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated, self-starter

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workiva a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare audit reports, schedules, and related financial statements in accordance with applicable governmental accounting and auditing standards.
  • Import, validate, and organize data from multiple sources into report-writing software.
  • Collaborate with fieldwork auditors to ensure audit findings, testing results, and conclusions are accurately reflected in written reports.
  • Correspondence with clients to request information, clarify data, and/or address questions related to audit reports.
  • Assist with revisions to and finalization of audit reports.
  • Track the audit report status and deadlines to ensure timely issuance of draft and final audit reports.
  • Other projects as assigned.
