The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) division seeks to fill the position of Audit Project Manager (Project Manager III) in the MCS Audit Management department. MCS is driven by its mission to deliver quality, cost-effective services to Texans. Reporting to the Audit Management Manager in the office of MCS Strategic Business Operations, the Audit Project Manager (PM) oversees and ensures effective coordination of compliance activities associated with the Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Programs. The Audit PM maintains quality control over audit communications including auditor requests, management responses, implementation plans, and other audit activities. The Audit PM provides guidance and support to MCS staff involved in audit responses and coordination. Work involves routinely coordinating and communicating with audit staff, stakeholders, agency leadership, and other relevant parties across the HHS system; ensuring accurate and timely audit tracking and reporting; and interpreting and presenting data related to audit topics, audit deadlines, and risks to the agency. Success in this role requires managing multiple projects and expectations, maintaining positive relationships with state staff, other agency staff, and internal and external stakeholders, and a curiosity about process improvement. To achieve this, the candidate must be an excellent communicator, detailed oriented, and highly organized. The ideal candidate must be highly competent and thrive in an environment that emphasizes teamwork to achieve goals. Must be able to work under minimal direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
