About The Position
Join Amazon as a Risk Manager - Shape the future of Risk and Governance in Finance Operations Amazon is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Finance Operations Risk, Governance, and Experience (FORGE) team. In this role, you'll lead high-impact projects optimizing audit operations and risk management strategies for our global Finance Operations (FinOps) organization. You'll drive operational excellence through project management for audits that touch corporate procurement, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and real estate functions. The ideal candidate combines strong compliance expertise with program management skills to develop innovative solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams - all in support of Amazon' s mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Nice To Haves
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
Responsibilities
- Leading program management strategy for audit and risk management initiatives.
- Presenting data-driven program updates to FORGE and FinOps leadership through regular business reviews by translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Tracking team goals to measure program effectiveness and drive consistency between team compliance projects.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance team efficiency and scalability.
- Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for audit tracking and risk management systems.
- Partnering with technical teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement automation and system enhancements. Communicate these changes to the broader team and train others on the enhancements.
