The Audit Manager is responsible for supervising, directing, and reviewing audit client engagements from planning through wrap-up, delegating tasks, and ensuring engagement profitability through billings and collections. This role also includes marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise. Key responsibilities traditionally include advising clients on economic and regulatory risks, resolving complex accounting issues, applying GAAP and GAAS, writing technical consultation memos, and documenting, validating, testing, and assessing financial reporting control systems.
