About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Client's accounting and finance team in Milwaukee. This role offers the opportunity to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff members. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring audit quality while driving business development and delivering exceptional client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or eligibility to obtain within 12 months
• 5+ years of audit experience with a public accounting firm or corporate internal audit function
• Strong knowledge of GAAS, ASC standards, and internal control frameworks (COSO)
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines
• Active CPA license or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on audit experience
• Ability to work onsite in Milwaukee, WI with hybrid flexibility

Nice To Haves

• Experience auditing public companies or SEC registrants
• Knowledge of industry-specific audit requirements (manufacturing, healthcare, financial services)
• Familiarity with data analytics and audit automation tools
• Demonstrated business development and client relationship management experience

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute audit engagements for mid-market and large corporate clients
• Develop audit strategies, scope documentation, and detailed audit programs
• Lead and mentor audit staff; provide technical guidance and performance feedback
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate internal control environments
• Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and results to clients and senior management
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards (GAAS) and firm quality control standards
• Review and approve audit documentation and workpapers for accuracy and completeness
