We’re excited to expand our Assurance practice with a new Assurance Manager in Torrance, CA . You’ll lead audit engagements from planning through delivery, manage engagement economics and risk, and be a hands‑on coach to Seniors and Staff. You’ll also have the chance to deepen your technical expertise, contribute to business development, and make a visible impact with clients across the region. As an Assurance Manager, you will: Serve as the primary communication link between clients and the firm, ensuring engagement objectives are clearly understood and met by all parties. Lead audit engagements for Core Audit clients, overseeing the full engagement lifecycle from planning through completion. Manage engagement economics, including planning and monitoring budgets, staffing, and timelines to ensure firm objectives are achieved. Identify engagement risks and design/oversee appropriate audit responses and procedures to address those risks. Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Assurance Seniors and Staff, including timely on‑site reviews and regular performance feedback. Facilitate resolutions on complex audit and accounting issues, leveraging your technical expertise to support both the engagement team and the client. Review financial reporting and deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery to clients. Keep the engagement partner informed with timely status updates and involve them appropriately in resolving client issues as they arise. Begin to build one or more areas of technical specialization and serve as a technical resource internally and externally. Act as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying opportunities for expanded services and bringing insights that support their business goals. Develop and maintain external relationships (professional, community, and personal) with the goal of fostering long‑term business development opportunities in the Torrance and broader Southern California market. What you bring to the role: CPA designation with an active CPA license. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field. 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a strong background in Audit/Assurance. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and teams simultaneously. Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop Assurance Seniors and Staff. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with a client‑service mindset. Ability to collaborate effectively with partners and senior leaders, providing proactive updates and recommendations. Comfort working in a general office environment with the ability to travel to client sites as needed.
