About The Position

Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring an Audit Intern for its 2026 Summer Internship Program (see Responsibilities and Qualifications below). Interested applicants will participate in a paid, in-office , 10-week program that will contribute to your professional and personal growth. You will be working with industry experts who will provide you with invaluable skills to help you in your career. During the internship, you will have the opportunity to interact with senior executives and other interns in daily assignments and projects, skill building workshops, networking and volunteering opportunities, and exciting team building events! The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location. Dime does not provide visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited University/College pursuing degree(s) in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Management Information Systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Desire to learn about banking concepts and their related risks
• Good ability to track and manage prioritizations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, in Hauppauge, Long Island.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with testwork related to the Sarbanes-Oxley annual audit
• Rotating among the Audit teams to assist with the planning and fieldwork of auditable entity audits
• Engaging with Dime’s business process area stakeholders to conduct walkthroughs and acquire confirming audit evidence
