About The Position

The Audit Intern position at CBIZ is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in auditing across various industries, including Real Estate, Construction, Nonprofit, and Manufacturing. Interns will assist in planning and executing audit assignments, communicate audit issues, and develop client relationships while maintaining high professional standards.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and research skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP and GAAS rules, procedures, and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization.
• Ability to multi-task, think independently, and problem-solve in a results-driven team-oriented environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet, and audit software.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field preferred.
• Active participation in student organizations or work experience in accounting or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain an understanding and assist in planning multiple audit assignments in various industries.
• Execute a solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures.
• Participate in client assignments from beginning to end.
• Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities with senior associates, managers, and partners.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional service to every client by being responsive and committed to understanding their goals and needs.
• Maintain compliance with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
