We are currently looking for an Audit Associate to join our growing team in Camp Hill, PA. As an Audit Associate, you will analyze operational and financial processes to ensure compliance with industry and federal regulations. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual looking to start or grow their career in public accounting. You will work under direct supervision while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
- Aspiring to obtain a public accounting certification
- Less than one year experience; internship or undergraduate related work is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel locally
- Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements using the firm's approved format
- Classify accounts for financial statement presentation
- Understand basic accounting and auditing principles
- Utilize software for efficient financial statement preparation
- Assist in counting and auditing cash, inventory, and assets
- Perform account reconciliations and propose adjusting journal entries
- Participate in audit planning and completion
- Conduct statistical and account analyses
- Identify risks and assess materiality in financial data
- Ensure work papers are clear, accurate, and well-documented
- Effectively communicate with the engagement team and clients
- Manage multiple clients and tasks efficiently
- Provide timely updates on project status and budget estimates
- Ensure a positive experience for clients through clear communication
