About The Position

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center, the region’s only level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center is seeking a full-time 40-hour Audiologist to join our team at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. New grads welcome to apply DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Join a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized care to our patients. We use a problem-oriented approach tailored to the needs of the individual. Our team consists of audiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, assistants, physicians, and nurse practitioners. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: BAYSTATE AUDIOLOGISTS PERFORM AN IMPORTANT ROLE to Identify, evaluate, treat and follow-up with clients of all ages, on an outpatient and contract basis diversifying your cases. Demonstrate developmental stages for the following age groups (infant/child, adolescence, adult, and geriatrics) and apply developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for patients as appropriate. Counsel clients, families and others with compassion in relation to understanding and assisting in the identification and treatment of hearing impairment. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH. Requirements

  • Must have Massachusetts License in Audiology and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • CPR through American Heart Association BLS Provider required
  • Masters Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cochlear implants and ABR testing a plus.
