Requirements

  • Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in audiology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from an Audiologist education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Requires current Audiology license in the State of Indiana.
  • Requires a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology or eligibility for certificate.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for our patients of all ages.
  • Testing could include Standard Behavioral Audiometry, Auditory Brainstem Response Testing (ABR/ASSR), Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, Conditioned Play Audiometry, Otoacoustic Emissions testing and Tympanometry.
  • Performs direct patient care services in pediatric and adult outpatient clinics, including some inpatient coverage.
  • All positions include supervision of students.
  • Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
  • Primarily locations include downtown Indianapolis and metro region clinics.
