About The Position

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, t he Audiologist is responsible for providing direct patient services. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Master of Science or Arts in Audiology with Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology by The American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and Ohio State licensure
  • BLS certification required.
  • Maintain compliance in RQI.
  • Position requires leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and business skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and decisive.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years’ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality audiological and hearing aid evaluations.
  • Selects and fits the most appropriate hearing aid for patient as well as assistive listening devices.
  • Independently obtains prior authorization for services provided, orders hearing aids and expands hearing aid sales.
  • Completes documentation in a thorough and professional manner and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and in compliance with ACHC standards.
  • Demonstrates effective teaching skills.
  • Collaborates with other providers to facilitate the optimal outcome for each patient.
  • Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
