About The Position

This position is for an Audiologist at SSM Health Dean Medical Group in Janesville. The role involves performing audiological and vestibular function testing and developing hearing correction plans for patients with audiological impairments. Key responsibilities include conducting diagnostic testing to assess patient hearing and vestibular status, determining appropriate treatments, developing and evaluating hearing correction plans, providing hearing device modifications, and educating patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care. The Audiologist is expected to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Audiology
  • No experience required
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
  • Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
  • Audiologist, Licensed - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) (for Illinois)
  • Audiologist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration (for Missouri)
  • Audiologist - Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology (for Oklahoma)
  • Audiologist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services OR WI Audiologist Temporary Permit - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (for Wisconsin)

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic testing to assess patient's hearing and vestibular status and to determine appropriate treatment.
  • Develops, documents, implements and evaluates hearing correction plan.
  • Provides hearing device modifications.
  • Educates and counsels patients, caregivers and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
