Responsibilities RESPONSIBLE FOR: Provides delivery of quality hearing services to patients of all ages-neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Documents care provided and enters daily treatment charges using computer system. Coordinates care with other services/departments to provide total patient care throughout the continuum. Accountability is measured through direct observation, productivity reports, performance appraisal, customer service reports, participation in task force, committee and performance improvement and patient safety activities, Care Line/QARM reports, and peer review. Demonstrates population-specific competencies (e.g. age-specific, cultural sensitivity, patient-centered communication) in performance of role.

Requirements

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Must hold a Master?s degree from an accredited program of Audiology and a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-A) from the American Speech Language/Hearing Association.
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year clinical experience
  • MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Must hold a current license from the Georgia Board of Examiners for Audiology. Must hold a current license to dispense hearing aids.
  • ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS required or obtained within 60 days from date of hire.
