The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Audiologist for the North County Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) department of the Student Services and Programs division. Under the general direction of the SELPA Director or Designee, serves as an educational audiologist to school districts by: completing hearing evaluations and related reports; performing Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) assessments and related accommodations for instruction; assisting students with hearing impairments with amplification and auditory skills; consulting with staff regarding auditory skills, issues, and instructional accommodations and methods. The Audiologist will serve infant children through young adults; from birth to age 22. ABOUT NCCSE The North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE) is a multidistrict Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) composed of fourteen school districts that have joined in a cooperative effort to provide a coordinated delivery of programs, services, and assurances to over 16,000 students with special education needs residing within its local planning area. As a means of improving learning outcomes for students, NCCSE supports its member districts and the communities they serve by providing: * Professional development and parent education * Program Specialist services for our small districts * Alternative Dispute Resolution * Technical assistance * Awareness and dissemination of current best practices * Creating forums for problem-solving and unification of common needs across its member districts.
