The Audiologist position at Watson Clinic LLP involves assessing patients' hearing status through diagnostic tests, counseling patients and their families, and fitting hearing aids as necessary. The role also includes overseeing the daily operations of the Hearing Center, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining quality control in services provided.

  • Take appropriate case history from patients.
  • Select and administer appropriate diagnostic tests to assess the patient's hearing status.
  • Counsel patients and/or families regarding hearing issues and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Select and fit suitable hearing aids for patients when indicated and provide adequate follow-up care.
  • Communicate observations and prepare written documentation as required by policies and procedures.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of both Hearing Center locations.
  • Prepare and monitor schedules for the Hearing Center.
  • Establish and review policies/protocols yearly and as needed.
  • Communicate new or changes in policies to team members.
  • Keep all team members informed of technology changes and new procedures.
  • Recommend suggestions and plans to improve efficiencies within the department.
  • Maintain quality control and provide oversight, feedback, and instruction to correct deficiencies.
  • Stay current on regulatory guidelines that affect the department.
  • Master's Degree or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) required.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensing by the State of Florida as an Audiologist.
  • Mental alertness and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to use computer and testing equipment.
  • Proficient in keyboard operations and working with hearing aids and ear molds.
