Audiologist - Adult Otology & Amplification Focus Location: Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Satellite Clinics Schedule: Monday-Friday, Business Hours (No weekends or holidays) Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a skilled, flexible, and compassionate Audiologist to join our collaborative team specializing in adult otology and vestibular care. Our interdisciplinary approach allows audiologists to work closely with ENT, neurology, and rehabilitation professionals to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care. Position Summary: This role is responsible for evaluating, treating, and counseling adult patients with hearing and vestibular disorders. The position includes ENT diagnostics, hearing aid fittings, and tinnitus management, which is an area of potential growth. The audiologist will contribute to patient care, outcomes, and system improvement initiatives, and will provide services at both the main medical center and satellite clinic locations.

  • Completes full diagnostic hearing assessments using the appropriate testing method and equipment for the patient type, diagnosis, and reason for referral.
  • Formulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.
  • Completes documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provides education/consultation to patient, family, health care team and community.
  • Enhances and impacts our knowledge of the nature of communicative and related disorders.
  • Performs comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments using appropriate methods and equipment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare teams on hearing and balance disorders
  • Participate in mentoring Au.D. students and contribute to clinical education
  • Support outreach and care delivery at satellite clinic locations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
  • Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program
  • Valid Tennessee state license as an audiologist or eligibility to obtain before the start date
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA
  • Two or more years of relevant clinical experience preferred
