About The Position

The Audio Visual Technician assists clients in supporting all Audio-Visual business requirements, providing alternative solutions and opportunities, identifying time and cost constraints, and delivering high-level corporate conference settings for meetings and events. This role coordinates Audio-Visual services with other departments and outside vendors as required. The technician maintains Audio-Visual equipment by diagnosing problems, recommending and implementing modifications, or securing outside maintenance and repair services. They troubleshoot equipment problems to avoid schedule delays and may perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment as needed. The technician operates Audio-Visual equipment, including cameras, lighting, and other equipment for various purposes such as training events, presentations, lectures, and employee meetings. They maintain all Audio-Visual equipment manuals and develop and maintain guidelines for the use of Audio-Visual equipment. Additionally, they keep current knowledge of Audio-Visual technologies, techniques, and equipment, set up and adjust Audio-Visual equipment according to customer specifications, and assist Facilities Technicians with minor preventative maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Fast learner with attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance at all times.
  • Audio-Visual and Photography experience is a plus.
  • Ability to transport and set up AV equipment, backdrops, and booths.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Physically capable of transporting and setting up heavy equipment.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good hearing and eyesight.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
