The AV Field Engineer I will be able to install and operate most types of AV systems and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems in a senior service support capacity, including testing and field verification of connections, labels, installation, and work quality. The engineer will also understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals, and will be responsible for creating shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-offs. Additionally, the AV Field Engineer I must understand Control System and/or DSP program manipulation and commissioning, and will be involved in uploading and manipulating code for various AV equipment. The position requires commissioning audio systems, configuring IP addressable devices, and having a basic understanding of data networking. The role includes both in-house and field work, and the engineer will assume ownership of project installations, providing support to field staff and project managers. Responsibilities also include maintaining project punch-lists, overseeing technical aspects of projects, pre-quality checking projects, assisting sales staff with product demonstrations, and handling other assigned responsibilities.
