About The Position

Asana is hiring an experienced, highly motivated IT AV Engineer to manage and support our AV event/conference rooms in San Francisco and globally. In the IT AV Engineer role will be responsible for Asana’s AV across our global offices. Based in our San Francisco office, you will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing our corporate office event spaces, conference rooms, and other office-based AV systems. Working closely with the team to develop AV standards for deployment across our sites. You ask questions, embrace the fact that you may not know everything, and favor collaboration over working alone. You are clear and detail-focused, yet can think outside the box when needed. With a proven track record of success, you also have a passion for technology and share our belief that hard work and fun are equally important. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. Requirements

  • 4 - 6 years of experience with the following Hands-on experience with commissioning large-scale office build projects globally
  • Production of large-scale events
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of event production and conferencing technology (Neat, Zoom, Logitech, Yamaha, Blackmagic ATEM, Panasonic, Stratos, Vizirt, Ustream, Crestron, Symmetrix, Biamp, Dante, Chromebox for Meetings, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of presentation software and simple media editing software (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
  • Experience with network hardware and configurations.
  • Solid knowledge of networking terms, models, and protocols
  • Able to read, produce, and edit AV schematic drawings using CAD Software (AutoCAD, Vectorworks, etc.)
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize, and successfully deliver and manage simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • CTS or other relevant industry certifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project management and issue tracking software
  • Proficiency in Google Apps
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global deployment, installation, and expansion of Asana’s AV event, collaboration, and presentation spaces.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of internal and external stakeholders to design, standardize, set up, test, configure, automate, and optimize all AV deployments at Asana.
  • Lead AV engineering efforts and offer feedback on existing systems, guiding the evolution of designs to better serve Asana's expanding and changing requirements.
  • Continuously innovate to improve user experience while maintaining the reliability of Asana’s AV systems.
  • Help the organization grow by identifying potential operational issues and escalating them through the appropriate channels.
  • Create documentation for the support and configuration of all of Asana's AV systems.
