The Audio Visual (AV) Installation Technician is responsible for the design, installation, termination, testing, and documentation of various AV systems and equipment. This role involves working on government installations and requires maintaining security clearances and certifications. The technician will collaborate with a team to troubleshoot network infrastructure issues and ensure compliance with installation plans.

  • Installs, tests, and documents the installation of AV equipment such as monitors, speakers, and microphones according to the Installation Development Plan (IDP).
  • Updates and maintains design documents by marking all 'as-built' changes during installation.
  • Collaborates with team members to troubleshoot and resolve network infrastructure issues, coordinating with other disciplines like networking and electrical.
  • Conducts Pre-Installation Test and Checkout (PITCO) activities and documents results of cables, equipment, and materials.
  • Minimum associate's degree or technical certification.
  • At least three years of related experience in cabling, equipment, troubleshooting, and repairing AV systems installation.
  • Practical knowledge of service, maintenance, and operation procedures for IT and AV systems.
