We are looking for a skilled and motivated Audio Visual (AV) Engineer to join our collaborative, forward-thinking team. As an Audio Visual (AV) Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical installation and management of audio visual systems including fabrication, site preparation, pulling of cable, termination, physical installation, configuration, trouble shooting and commissioning of complex video and control systems. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge AV systems that empower our clients to connect, communicate, and thrive. From site prep to system commissioning, you'll bring technical expertise and a passion for problem-solving to every project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of Audio Visual installation technical experience
  • Industry certifications preferred (Cisco, Tandberg, Crestron, Infocomm CTS, Polycom, etc.)
  • ITIL Foundations Certification desirable
  • Familiarity with product lines including Cisco, Tandberg, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Sharp, Polycom, etc.
  • Experience with configuration & installation of audio visual systems
  • Proficient with all AV terminations including RGB/RG6/Cat5/Compression/Soldering, etc.
  • Experience running a project from start to finish, within specific deadlines
  • Strong grasp of Audio & Video equipment functionality, control. Some programming a plus.
  • Basic IP configuration of AV Devices (i.e. Cisco Video Endpoints, Extron)
  • Light construction knowledge (hanging equipment in ceilings and/or walls, running cables in walls, etc.)
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Comfortable interacting with a broad range of users
  • Able to understand user needs and manage expectations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Experience using Remedy or other helpdesk ticketing software

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical installation tasks for the successful completion of audio visual projects
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and signal flow diagrams
  • Use power tools, hand tools, solder, crimp, and terminate various connectors associated with audio visual systems
  • Perform rack fabrication and writing
  • Field installation of structure and equipment
  • Configure and test code for DSP and controls systems (QSC/Creston/Extron)
  • Make minor programming changes for control systems
  • Serve as working site supervisor of the installation team for larger projects
  • Test integrated systems and troubleshoot as required
  • Provide commissioning and end user trainings of systems
  • Create redlines for finalized system documentation
  • Work well in a team environment and is willing to mentor/lead others
  • Ability to travel and work at various client sites greater than 50% of the time as required
  • Other duties as assigned
