About The Position

The Audio Visual Account Executive will be the main liaison between the seller, customer, operations staff, and internal divisions (ES/ESS) for client and internal communication, deliverables, and transition of AV events as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, Sales Representative, or similar role within the AV industry.
  • Experience as a Skilled Lead or Project Manager in the AV industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent responsiveness and ability to balance multiple accounts.
  • Ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; equivalent experience may be exchanged for formal education.

  • Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner, by making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in client discovery calls, solution development, and proposal refinement with assigned sellers to identify objectives and client solutions.
  • Manage client deliverables during project discovery and planning
  • Orchestrate show planning to ensure all details of the show are communicated with operations prior to the move-in of an event.
  • Coordinate and conduct pre-event meetings and tie-down operations, production, and client.
  • Provide timely and innovative AV solutions aligned with client objectives and company capabilities.
  • Develop comprehensive event plans, technical drawings, and deliverables in collaboration with Project Managers and Production teams.
  • Ensure team deadlines that are acceptable both to the customer and to Shepard AV via the Critical Path.
  • Collaborate with the team to create CAD drawings, technical documentation, and facility access requirements.
  • Communicate between Sales, Operations, Production, and facility partners.
  • Ensure structural projects, stage sets, and other specialized project elements are conducted and finalized through Shepard AV’s online portal (OLP).
  • Coordinate labor scheduling with Operations and the Labor Coordinator to ensure timelines and staffing levels align with sales commitments and client expectations.
  • Participate in equipment review calls alongside Production Management to confirm accurate equipment and accessory selection based on client objectives, sales intent, and budget parameters.
  • Respond to all communications in a timely manner.
  • Champion a sense of urgency with all internal and external stakeholders.
