Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree plus relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred majors include Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, A/V Broadcast, or similar programs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings.
  • Must be able to work positively and professionally in stressful situations.
  • Must show personal commitment to continuously improve.
  • Must display a can-do attitude in good and bad times.
  • Must effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Strong computer skills: Internet navigation, word processing, spreadsheets, and Daktronics internal programs.
  • Must be comfortable working from a home office location.
  • Must be able to get a passport.
  • Must be able to work at heights or from a ladder and carry tools/parts.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including cold/hot weather and small spaces.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends based on business needs.
  • Ability to travel by air and ground; valid driver’s license required.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service, installation, or support during an event at a customer site.
  • Provide on-site technical and maintenance services for Control Systems and Display Systems.
  • Train Service Partners.
  • Participate in technical training on new products and systems.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles for internal/external use.
  • Provide technical over-the-phone support to internal and external customers.
  • Respond to customers’ requests for technical support through calls.
  • Provide software application installation/configuration support.
  • Troubleshoot and solve hardware and software technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to support Daktronics.
