Audio Technician
About The Position
Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position. Provide audio support for live events, including recording and streaming of campus events – 60% Assist in planning, implementation and supervision of campus sound events – 20% Assist with networked and stand-alone audio processors – 5% Assist with student staff training – 5% Managing, maintaining and cleaning campus audio equipment including mixers, amps, speakers, microphones and stands – 5% Stay current and knowledgeable with new and evolving technology and trends in the professional audio field– 5%
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years audio technician degree plus two years related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Understanding of audio electronics and the physics of sound
- Understanding of networked and distributed professional sound systems
- Functioning knowledge of multiple digital mixer formats and brands
- Knowledge of sound design, line array and point source audio setup and implementation
- Planning and setup of multiple events that happen simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Pro Tools or other DAW software
- An acute and trained sense of hearing

- Audio rigging experience
- Basic video switcher and signal routing experience
