Job Description 7:30am Start time Monday - Friday $21-23/hr Audio and Media Operator I will be responsible for jobs related to audio and media post-production services. Primary responsibilities include preparing and delivering media content. Candidate must have a strong understanding, efficiency, and skillset in Avid Pro Tools, with some experience in operating non-linear video editors. Knowledge of traditional audio formats (2.0, 5.1, 7.1, Dolby Atmos), sample rate conversion, loudness compliance standards, and post-production audio workflows is expected. Some knowledge of video types, SMPTE timecode, frame rates, and codecs is preferred. Attention to detail, excellent time management and a perfectionist mindset are paramount in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade specific education
  • Excellent Pro Tools operational skills, including the use of video in Pro Tools
  • Strong skills with Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with self-direction
  • Problem solver with creative and innovative approach and ability to think out of the box
  • Outstanding attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in audio post-production or media service projects for film and television
  • Familiarity with audio dubbing, audio description, or localization services

Responsibilities

  • Prequalify and manage a high volume of multi-channel audio assets in various formats and configurations
  • Perform technical quality control checks and create final deliverable packages for audio assets
  • Update internal audio job trackers and other proprietary asset management systems
  • Prepare Pro Tools sessions for internal recording, mix, editorial, and QC processes
  • Generate and review QC and dubbing verification reports and to ensure highest possible quality standards for final audio mixes
  • Editorial and conform of standard configuration audio assets
  • Perform linear technical audio QCs for catastrophic playback errors
