The Detail Associate cleans and details assigned vehicles prior to auction.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• May be required to work off standard shift hours, such as very early mornings.
• Ability to multitask.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Ability to use power washer and other power tools, detail equipment and painting tools.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach and kneel.
• Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing assignments with supervisor to confirm understanding of detail/wash work required.
• Performing vehicle cleaning and preparation processes including washing, wheel cleaning, waxing and buffing, polishing, removing finish defects.
• Using chemicals, power-wash the engine compartment and clean battery compartment.
• Cleaning out the interior of vehicles by removing any debris and trash from ashtrays, console, dashboard, door panels, seats, as well as trunk and engine compartments.
• Buffing vehicles by applying dressing to engine compartment, wheels, wheel wells and tires, vinyl tops, etc.
• Apply compound, cleaner and/or polish to vehicles interior, and buff out using a rotary buffer (or by hand as necessary).
• Wax and buff exterior and all painted surfaces of vehicles using a hand-type buffer.
• Moving vehicles to support smooth flow through the detailing processes.
• Maintaining detailing tools and equipment.
• Performing other job related duties as directed by management.
