About The Position

This position ensures the efficient and accurate registration of new dealers to the AutoNation Auction, and maintains and updates the current dealer database and files.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of clerical and/or customer service experience required.
• Auction experience strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills, problem solving and excellent customer service skills required.
• Good computer software skills required including Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Auction Edge/ASI and Auction Access auction systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Processing new dealer applications by obtaining the appropriate registration documents according to Auction policy, such as dealer license, surety bond, seller permit and W-9.
• Maintaining and verifying appropriate seller and buyer files and update as needed, such as status of dealer insurance records, business address and phone numbers and similar data.
• Obtaining credit reports on new dealers as necessary; verifying dealer licenses by contacting the state DMV offices.
• Work the counter on sale day, registering new dealers, printing bidder badges, updating dealer information and answering customer questions.
• Loading and/or updating required dealer information into the ASI and/or Auction Access systems, scanning dealer documents into the system, taking dealer photos, etc.
• Accepting credit card payments for miscellaneous fees such as late fees, buy fees, one-way permits or storage fees.
• Providing back up for the Dealer Services Associate on an 'as needed' basis.
