About the position

The Attractions Manager at AREA15 is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of amusement activations, ensuring safety, guest satisfaction, and efficient staff management. This role involves implementing operational plans, conducting safety drills, and mentoring staff to maintain high standards of service and safety in a creative entertainment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of all attractions, ensuring smooth functionality, guest satisfaction, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to maximize attraction availability and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular safety drills, training, and audits to maintain a culture of safety.
  • Oversee the efficient application of safety regulations and conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe environment for visitors and staff.
  • Manage staffing levels and recruitment for the department.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency strategies without compromising guest satisfaction or safety.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and technologies to suggest enhancements or new attractions.
  • Lead or participate in the planning and implementation of new attractions or upgrades to existing attractions.
  • Develop proper succession planning to support day-to-day operations regarding retention.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and updates to training literature including Standard Operating Procedures and evacuation training.
  • Mentor supervisory staff for continued improvement for both the individual and AREA15.
  • Maintain knowledge of attractions including operational procedures and emergency procedures.
  • Motivate staff and serve as an ambassador for the AREA15 brand.
  • Facilitate training and learning plans as needed.
  • Demonstrate ART! (AREA15's service standards) in every guest interaction.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance in line with AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Previous experience in theme park operations, attractions, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the attractions industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Adept at data analysis and critical thinking with a strong background in process improvement and change management.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, and extreme cold.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
