Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; an LLM in Taxation is highly preferred.
• Active bar license in good standing; CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax law.
• In-depth knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, IRS regulations, and tax treaties.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in tax software and legal research tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal guidance on federal, state, and international tax laws to clients, ensuring compliance and minimizing liabilities.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for individuals and businesses, focusing on asset protection, estate planning, and wealth preservation.
• Represent clients in audits, disputes, and proceedings with the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and conduct in-depth research to advise on complex tax issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with potential tax implications.
• Advise on tax-efficient entity structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, providing proactive communication and personalized solutions.
• Work closely with financial advisors, accountants, and estate planning professionals to deliver integrated client solutions.
