Within this department, the Corporate Law Division provides essential legal services to State Farm and its subsidiaries, while the Claim Litigation Counsel Division manages a diverse array of litigation activities on behalf of State Farm insureds and the State Farm Insurance Companies. This position is classified as a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office and virtual work. The in-house insurance defense law office, Amy F. Loperfido & Associates, is located in Philadelphia, PA, and serves the surrounding counties. The office boasts a busy civil trial practice and fosters a congenial, team-oriented professional environment supported by skilled staff. In this role, you will handle cases that are intermediate to difficult, often involving high financial exposure and complexity, including those with complex medical issues or catastrophic injuries. You will be responsible for managing non-suit tasks as assigned, developing creative legal strategies, and skillfully conducting depositions and trials. The position requires autonomy, with minimal supervision, and involves preparing detailed reports on complex cases, mentoring other attorneys, and utilizing technology to enhance case management and courtroom presentations. Additionally, you will engage in the development of others through teaching and contribute to office improvements by participating in operational dialogues and activities.
