Job Description: The successful candidate will work on a variety of legal matters relating to hedge fund, hybrid fund and hedge fund investing and structuring.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree required.
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of four (4) full years of law firm and/or in-house private investment fund work experience.
  • The successful candidate should have strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills and have demonstrated experience interpreting legal and business terms.

Responsibilities

  • Structuring, negotiation, and formation of BXMA’s commingled and customized funds and portfolio investments.
  • Negotiation and execution of certain direct and indirect investments within BXMA’s Absolute Return, Multi-Strategy and Total Portfolio investment strategies.
  • Substantial interaction with BXMA internal business groups (investment, accounting, operations, investor relations) and external clients.
  • Management of external counsel.
  • Negotiation and review of various legal documentation.
  • Ongoing review of industry and regulatory developments to assess any relevant information or risks to BXMA’s business.
