About The Position

We’re seeking an Attorney to join our Timeshare team who brings strong legal judgment, collaboration, and a commitment to doing the work the right way. In this role, you’ll represent clients in timeshare-related matters, managing judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, drafting and arguing motions, appearing in court, and negotiating resolutions. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to navigate title and compliance challenges, support case strategy, and help ensure matters progress efficiently while meeting MDK’s high standards of professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Actively licensed by the Florida Bar, and in good standing.
  • Actively licensed in South Carolina or North Carolina, or willingness to become licensed upon hire.
  • Two or more years’ experience in the timeshare or real estate industries.
  • Experience managing a volume portfolio of cases with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex title issues and recommend creative solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and respect, ensuring clients and colleagues feel heard and valued.
  • Ability to travel as needed, generally less than 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in our Orlando office two days per week, or more as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and litigate a caseload of default servicing matters related to judicial and non-judicial timeshare foreclosure actions.
  • Draft and argue motions necessary to the successful completion of both routine, and contested, timeshare foreclosure matters.
  • Appear in court as needed to represent clients, make oral arguments, prepare exhibits, examine witnesses, and comply with all procedural requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide guidance and strategies for managing timeshare title portfolios and resolving title-related challenges.
  • Negotiate resolutions with opposing counsel or pro-se parties and facilitate settlements in alignment with client directives.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws relating to timeshare properties and title issues.
  • Assisting with training and guidance to a team of paralegals and legal assistants working on timeshare-related matters.
  • Engage with clients, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel regarding compliance with various laws and regulations.
