Attorney I - General Misdemeanor Division - District Attorney's Office
About The Position
Reviews, investigates, prosecutes, and presents cases to judges and conducts hearings and jury trials of criminal cases. Counsels and trains local law enforcement, prepares arrest and search warrants, researches legal issues, negotiate plea bargains, coordinates victims and witnesses and prepares subpoenas, and is responsible for discovery production. Strong case evaluation, writing, and communication skills will be required. Our attorneys enjoy a comradery and support system second to none. Training is consistently available to enhance your personal skill set as a litigator and decision-maker. Bar dues and CLE are paid for by the office.
Requirements
- Texas licensed attorneys in good standing
- At least one year of job-related experience
- Strong case evaluation skills
- Strong writing skills
- Strong communication skills
