About The Position

Join our team in a key support role within the firm’s attorney hiring function. The Attorney Hiring Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Charlotte, Chicago, and Raleigh offices, contributing to a wide range of recruiting and onboarding activities. This position plays an important part in ensuring the efficiency and professionalism of our hiring processes, offering exposure to interview coordination, recruitment events, and cross‑office projects. The role reports directly to the Regional Attorney Hiring Manager and supports the firm’s ongoing commitment to attracting and retaining exceptional legal talent. ROLE SUMMARY This position is based in Charlotte and supports the Charlotte, Chicago, and Raleigh offices. In addition to daily administrative duties including data entry, expense reports, filing, correspondence, and preparation for hiring meetings, the assistant will also have the added responsibilities of facilitating interviews, helping with and attending summer associate and law school recruiting events, diversity functions, summer associate orientation, and working on discreet projects for each office involving research, lateral associate and counsel interview coordination, database management, and the like. The Attorney Hiring Assistant will report to the Regional Attorney Hiring Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities

  • Entering candidates, monitoring applications, and updating statuses in Flo Recruit.
  • Creating/maintaining candidate folders in iManage.
  • Corresponding with law student candidates regarding scheduling their screenings/callback interviews.
  • Hosting virtual law school and lateral candidate interviews.
  • Processing departmental expenses.
  • Updating internal charts including firmwide and office-specific callback tracking charts.
  • Working with law schools to request resume collections as well as getting summer positions posted to job boards.
  • Assisting Manager with preparing for on-campus activities.
  • Coordination of logistics related to in-office and virtual candidate visits.
  • Assisting with the summer associate program.
  • Assisting with lateral associate hiring as needed.
  • Creating and requesting event invitations.
  • Providing support during law student, summer associate and on-campus social events.
  • Supporting firmwide team in processing candidate application and interview materials.
  • Maintaining firmwide search firm tracking chart
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Attorney Hiring Manager.
