CPC Climate Capital is a new division within The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) and a sub-award partner of Climate United Fund. This division is tasked with supporting Calvert Impact in the deployment of approximately $2.5 billion in Greenhouse Gas Reduction (GGRF) funds. The primary focus is on advancing the CPC Climate Capital Multifamily Decarbonization Strategy on a national scale. CPC Climate Capital has been selected to administer a portion of the awarded GGRF funds on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The goal is to provide subordinate debt financing to owners of multifamily housing across the nation, aimed at reducing or eliminating on-site fossil fuels, thereby significantly lowering greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative aligns with other critical national priorities, including the creation and preservation of affordable housing, promoting equity and environmental justice, and supporting high-quality jobs. As the Associate Attorney-Compliance, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the implementation program that addresses the statutory and programmatic requirements of the grant. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing a compliance program for the GGRF program as mandated by the EPA, federal regulations, and the GGRF award agreement. You will collaborate with both internal and external parties to create or modify policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with the grant's requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with various CPC business units to identify regulatory obligations and ensure adherence to all requirements. Your role will also involve assessing ongoing reporting requirements related to the GGRF funds and coordinating with the prime recipient as necessary to facilitate reporting and compliance. Effective communication of compliance processes and procedures across the organization will be essential, along with performing other support tasks for the Legal Department as needed.
