About The Position

The Associate Counsel role at Parexel is designed for a candidate with extensive contracting expertise and strong legal and business acumen. This position focuses on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly those that generate revenue. The Associate Counsel will provide legal advice to various business units, enhance company guidelines, and foster productive relationships with internal and external clients. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments and the ability to navigate complex legal and business issues effectively.

Requirements

• J.D. and Bar Admission required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Attorney/Legal Counsel, preferably in a large multi-national law firm.
• 2-6+ years in-house experience supporting commercial operations and negotiating key transactions for a global corporation, preferably in life sciences.
• Exceptional legal drafting skills and the ability to craft language for successful negotiations.
• Strong financial and business acumen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the life sciences sector is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, emphasizing revenue-generating customer agreements.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to various business units within the company.
• Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of the company's guidelines and processes.
• Establish productive relationships with internal clients, company clients, and other business partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally within the company to address legal and business issues.
• Analyze complex business and legal issues to achieve practical solutions.
• Manage and prioritize multiple negotiations with attention to detail.
