Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Litigate routine cases in trial and appellate courts under supervision.
  • Assist higher-ranking attorneys in preparing major or complex cases for trial.
  • Draft pleadings, interview witnesses, and write legal memoranda and briefs.
  • Enter claims for collecting monies due to the state.
  • Assist in preparing proposed legislation and draft tentative rules and regulations.
  • Investigate reports of violations of statutes and administrative rules.
  • Prepare advisory opinions for review by a higher-ranking attorney.
  • Conduct hearings and render decisions.
