About The Position

Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Health System invites applications for the position of Attending Physician in the Department of Oncology. We seek an outstanding researcher, clinician at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to join 4 Breast Oncologists and full, support team including APPs, RNs and experienced administrative staff. Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology and Fellowship trained in Breast Oncology. This is a full-time position with call responsibilities shared with other members of the team. There is a teaching component guiding medical students, Residents and Fellows through didactic instruction and the opportunity to be involved with clinical trials and research. This is a full time position with weekend call and inpatient coverage responsibilities shared with all other attendings within the department of Oncology Established as a distinct department in 1979, the Montefiore Einstein Department of Oncology is currently comprised of 81 faculty members, 55 medical doctors, 21 physician assistants, and 33 nurse practitioners, of which 42 are investigators engaged in basic, clinical, and translational science. The department is closely aligned with the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is the fourth cancer center in the U.S. to receive NCI designation, in 1972. Einstein offers an extremely interactive environment with numerous, well-equipped core facilities and a clinical and translational research institute. The Department of Oncology comprises a large and complex clinical operation, spanning 60 hospital beds with 3,300 discharges per year at the three main campuses, and operates 90 outpatient infusion chairs in five locations. We are among the elite 1% of NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the U.S. and we’re ranked in the top 1% of all U.S. hospitals for cancer care, according to U.S. News & World Report.
