About The Position

A full-time position responsible for delivering primary dental care in an integrated medical facility in Las Vegas. The Attending General Dentist functions as a clinical team member to participate in the center's oral health program. The Attending General Dentist reports to the Chief Clinical Officer of the company. The Center Located in North Las Vegas, the Culinary Health Fund (CHF) currently offers three centers to provide coordinated medical, dental, pharmaceutical and vision primary care to a diverse patient population working in service industries. Within those facilities are the NDB Centers for Oral Health, each featuring 15 state-of-the-art operatories, supported by a sophisticated Electronic Health Record/Practice Management solution, digital radiography, digital imaging, and associated technologies. We are proud to provide quality dental care to CHF families across the city, scheduling an average of 7,000 visits monthly. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The Attending General Dentist must be able to work with other health professionals to deliver coordinated care in this fully integrated care model. This will require collaborating with the Center's medical staff and being an active contributor to the overall care and wellbeing of patients. The Center is designed to deliver appropriate care to patients of various economic and social backgrounds, and the Attending General Dentist must be cognizant of the impact of those factors on the patients. In addition, the Attending General Dentist is expected to: Examine patients, diagnose their dental/oral conditions, prescribe and perform and/or direct the delivery of appropriate care to address any disease or findings Actively participate and collaborate with other Culinary Health Center clinical team members for an integrated patient experience Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate treatment guidelines and quality measures for the delivery of care, as directed by the Clinical Director Participate in the development of policies, protocols and procedures which are in compliance with the most current accepted professional standards Assist in the provision of continuing education for the Centers' staff as requested Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and Center rules, regulations, protocols and procedures governing the practice of dentistry Perform other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives, as directed by the Clinical Director

Requirements

  • Clinical dentist license issued by the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners to practice in the state of Nevada
  • Unrestricted DEA license issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), to prescribe only necessary and appropriate drugs and medicaments for patients under your care
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification , for critical life-saving skills needed when responding to cardiac and breathing emergencies
  • A satisfactory background check
  • Passing a drug test
  • A clear TB (tuberculosis) test
  • Passing other biological tests, as needed by the company
  • Credentialing approval
  • Execution of confidentiality non-disclosure agreements, as you will have access to personally identifiable health information that is highly sensitive and cannot be revealed except to authorized persons
  • Execution of, and adherence to, the Employee Handbook, which outlines policies and procedures, state and federal laws, and expected behavior
