Our current hospital holds 258 beds and serves the five-county Hickory area. No one should have to travel far for the expert level medical treatment they need. We work with a plethora of medical specialists capable of diagnosing, treating and operating on a wide variety of conditions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification. If the BLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is due within three months of employment date.
  • Either NA1 or NA2 (if NA2 must maintain valid NA1 listing)
  • Nurse Aide I: Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services.
  • Nurse Aide II: Listed with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services and the NC Board of Nursing.
  • No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

  • Basic computer application skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides care within scope of practice and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains designated imaging areas.
  • Transports patients of all ages, infants through adults, and assist with patient preparations and positioning.
  • Runs needed errands between imaging departments.
