Great Pay! Great Benefits! Come Join a Growing Team! SUMMARY Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, shipping and receiving area, or yard by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to housekeeping, cross training and operator level maintenance in support of equipment operation. Responsibilities also include attention to safety according to specific training and safety rules.

Requirements

  • High school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervision and other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
  • Operates fork truck or other material-handling vehicle to load or unload or move materials.
  • Loads or unloads materials to or from trucks in shipping and receiving area.
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Counts, weighs, and records materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
