Requirements
- Required - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Required - HEARTSAVER - American Heart Association
- Ability to comprehend verbal instructions given in English.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and effectively communicate in English with minimal mental application performing repetitive tasks and duties.
- Excellent customer services skills required.
- Ability to organize and complete tasks.

Responsibilities
- Cleans and maintains operating rooms before and after surgical procedures.
- Maintains cleaning solutions and cleaning equipment.
- Transports pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients, both inpatients & outpatients, to and from surgical suites, Pre-op Holding, EPOH and CVICU areas.
- Transports requested items, such as blood, x-rays, pharmacy items, SPD items, charts, records and equipment between departments and surgical units; transports requested supplies in a timely, accurate manner.
- Participates in CIP, Quality Improvement and evaluation activities and implements measures to ensure that hospital, DNV and other quality standards are met.
- Maintains principles of aseptic technique according to hospital policy and procedure and AORN standards.
- Maintains and stores equipment in a clean/safe condition.
- Stocks and maintains the proper par levels of various supplies such as blankets, brushes, etc., in the assigned surgical unit.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to environmental safety factors.
- Performs other job functions.
